Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Daniel Zorita took the kick off in the first half of the match. 3 minutes into the match, Blau Weiß Sauerland's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Uwe Kuhni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 4th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 7th minute of play forced Blau Weiß Sauerland's goalkeeper Uwe Kuhni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Willi Reutter. In the 12th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uwe Kuhni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ecuador's Daniel Zorita in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uwe Kuhni having to interfere. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Willi Reutter scored 1-1 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dorel Giubelean kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Uwe Kuhni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Montenegro in the 45th minute of the match. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adam Pingel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Uwe Kuhni in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Blau Weiß Sauerland's Uwe Kuhni got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Willi Reutter in the 61st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Willi Reutter in the 64th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Blau Weiß Sauerland's Uwe Kuhni proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Blau Weiß Sauerland from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Uwe Kuhni in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Uwe Kuhni having to make a save. Willi Reutter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Blau Weiß Sauerland's Uwe Kuhni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 75th minute of play. Uwe Kuhni made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. In the 78th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. After a defensive mix-up in Blau Weiß Sauerland's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Uwe Kuhni came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adam Pingel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. When Adam Pingel came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Blau Weiß Sauerland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adam Pingel couldn't finish the play. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Pingel in the 89th minute of play. Willi Reutter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere.
