In the 2nd minute Marcin Snaza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Chiuzbaian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ivan Chiuzbaian made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Mariusz Zgonina sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the KS Piastów Sosnowiec defense, Zhao Sen Yang kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tomasz Piwko. The KS Piastów Sosnowiec fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tomasz Piwko should have stopped the shot. Ivan Chiuzbaian made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariusz Zgonina in the 11th minute. Tomasz Piwko came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Petre Iftode. But to his dismay, Petre Iftode quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After a rather tough play, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Zhao Sen Yang got a free kick in the 15th minute. Ivan Chiuzbaian made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariusz Zgonina in the 16th minute. Zhao Sen Yang struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Tomasz Piwko didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-. In the 22nd minute KS Piastów Sosnowiec were awarded a corner. Tomasz Gorski went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 26th minute of the match, Marcin Snaza tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ivan Chiuzbaian saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. KS Piastów Sosnowiec's Tomasz Piwko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zhao Sen Yang in the 27th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s goalkeeper Ivan Chiuzbaian had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Apolo Beltza. Tomasz Piwko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zhao Sen Yang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36th minute Apolo Beltza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Chiuzbaian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Zhao Sen Yang sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tomasz Piwko narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ivan Chiuzbaian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stelian Joldea in the 40th minute of the match. Zhao Sen Yang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomasz Piwko having to interfere. After 45 played minutes Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Olov Ahlbeck. In the 47th match minute, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stasio Bienienda to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Ivan Chiuzbaian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariusz Zgonina in the 53rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Zhao Sen Yang got a free kick in the 54th minute. Zhao Sen Yang's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tomasz Piwko read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- were awarded a corner in the 60th minute after KS Piastów Sosnowiec's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Olov Ahlbeck took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of KS Piastów Sosnowiec's goalie and right to Primitivo Grau. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. KS Piastów Sosnowiec's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. KS Piastów Sosnowiec's Tomasz Piwko proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save KS Piastów Sosnowiec from getting a goal against them. 63 minutes into the match, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Apolo Beltza came free, but Ivan Chiuzbaian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zhao Sen Yang in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tomasz Piwko prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 66 minutes into the match, KS Piastów Sosnowiec's goal looked a bit too open when Zhao Sen Yang came free, but Tomasz Piwko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zhao Sen Yang took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tomasz Piwko. Tomasz Piwko dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Cătălin Tudoran was substituted for Stasio Bienienda. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Petre Iftode took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Tomasz Piwko to make any attempt to save it. KS Piastów Sosnowiec made a substitution. Boruc Magdziarz replaced Hieronim Winszman. In the 75th minute of the match, Zhao Sen Yang tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tomasz Piwko saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 77th minute of the match Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- got a corner. KS Piastów Sosnowiec's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cătălin Tudoran ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Cătălin Tudoran got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tomasz Piwko quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Cyryl Penkalski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ivan Chiuzbaian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcin Snaza in the 82nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, KS Piastów Sosnowiec's Apolo Beltza got a free kick in the 85th minute. Ivan Chiuzbaian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcin Snaza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Primitivo Grau might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tomasz Piwko. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Primitivo Grau ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Grigore Maghiran hit a great ball. In the 91st minute, Mariusz Zgonina got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
