Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alfred Reisz started the match with the kick off. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mete Gol in the 3rd minute. Miguel Calero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Heartbreakers's Robinho Leme was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The Ecuador fans' excitement grew in the 21st match minute when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 27th minute of play forced Heartbreakers's goalkeeper Miguel Calero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Luis Andino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Miguel Calero was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. 31 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Miguel Calero. Heartbreakers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. In the 40th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Calero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michael Jordan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Miguel Calero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. In the 46th minute, Agustín Saelices hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The supporters of Ecuador booed when Heartbreakers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robinho Leme didn't get a good kick on the ball. 55 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Heartbreakers's Miguel Calero. Miguel Calero was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfred Reisz in the 58th minute of play. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Miguel Calero made a huge save. After 65 played minutes Heartbreakers got a freekick which was hit by Gil Sayavedra. Daniel Zorita was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 66th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 69 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Agustín Saelices. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Michael Jordan in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfred Reisz in the 72nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Mete Gol stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Mete Gol tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Miguel Calero in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfred Reisz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Cristian Sancho hit a great ball. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfred Reisz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 88 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Alfred Reisz came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90thth minute of the game Alfred Reisz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 91st match minute, Heartbreakers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robinho Leme to maneuver through the defense. 94 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Alfred Reisz came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Heartbreakers's Enrique Carmeneses. But to his dismay, Enrique Carmeneses quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Heartbreakers.
