Abraham Alguacil was slow to take the kick. During this time Panama's players had a chance to rest. Panama's Abraham Alguacil was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ferdi Kargin in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 11 minutes into the game, Felipe Ros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Panama's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Çanakkale the free kick. Felipe Ros hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 13th minute Reis Ünsal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 1-0 became the score in the 15th minute when Cristian Boniel elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Ferdi Kargin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Abraham Alguacil went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Ferdi Kargin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 25th minute of the match. Mansur Başel kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the match, Cristian Boniel notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Panama's Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tomas Berganza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Berganza made a kick off. Tomas Berganza did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-3 to the left of a surprised Ferdi Kargin 54 minutes into the match. Reis Ünsal hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. After 57 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Alex Cambeiro. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by John Apelkvist in the 60th minute of play. Tomas Berganza blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ferdi Kargin having to make a save. After 74 minutes, Cristian Boniel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Çanakkale and the Panama players grew even worse after the yellow card. A throw-in in the 78th minute of the game was made by Jose Carita with Miguel Miralles as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 83rd minute, Osman Ali Ayçetin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Panama's Aaron Barrios got a free kick in the 87th minute.
