The throw-in from Joshua Secada in the 21st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Australian Youth Academy's Ollie Flesfadar. 27 minutes into the match, Australian Youth Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Dani Cochrane reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dani Cochrane read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. Dani Cochrane stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Illescas's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Dani Cochrane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Brayden Carberry made a kick off. Tomas Illescas made in the 51st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Australian Youth Academy's Brayden Carberry. 53 minutes into the match, Tomas Illescas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dani Cochrane. Australian Youth Academy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomas Illescas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tomas Illescas's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 64thth minute, Dani Cochrane skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Australian Youth Academy's goalkeeper Dani Cochrane, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Herman Heberle kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Ollie Flesfadar hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Jose Correa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dani Cochrane having to interfere. With his leg Dani Cochrane managed to avoid a goal in the 77thth minute, when Venezuela's Tomas Illescas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dani Cochrane read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 91 minutes into the match, Australian Youth Academy's goalkeeper Dani Cochrane had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Venezuela's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
