In the 14th minute, Benjamin Justin fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 21 minutes into the match, Bolivia's goal looked a bit too open when Ladislao Dalmau came free, but Camilo Freixa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfredo Ferrant received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Geronimo Lertxun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfredo Ferrant blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Geronimo Lertxun having to make a save. After 30 minutes of play, Bolivia's Eduardo Fontirroig made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Geronimo Lertxun was left in no man's land by his defense there! Eduardo Fontirroig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geronimo Lertxun having to interfere. In the 46th match minute, Bolivia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Julio Chicote to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rodrigo Unax was the one to do the kick off. Camilo Freixa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rodrigo Unax's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. After having played for 72 minutes, Eduardo Fontirroig managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bolivia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eduardo Fontirroig was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of San Miguel City booed when Bolivia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfonso de la Cruz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 80 played minutes, San Miguel City's Rodrigo Unax shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Camilo Freixa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in San Miguel City reached it. Camilo Freixa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin Justin in the 83rd minute of play. Benjamin Justin scored 2-1 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Camilo Freixa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Camilo Freixa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigo Unax, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Camilo Freixa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gogo Milian in the 93rd minute of play.
