The Carp Team fans' excitement grew in the 79th match minute when Carp Team's Matei Cârstea looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Calistrat Bordeianu having to interfere. 88 minutes into the match, Carp Team's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Calistrat Bordeianu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carp Team's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matei Cârstea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Carp Team's Toader Valerian got a free kick in the 96th minute. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Carp Team were victorious despite being under pressure from Ecuador for much of the match.
