Honorato Marz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Facundo Cadaval in the 11th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Moises Boniel dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dante Lacasa, 1-0. Thanks to some nice moves Irfan Arnawa could shoot a difficult shot in the 19th minute, which Dante Lacasa however easily saved by the left post. 20 minutes into the game, Irfan Arnawa lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Dante Lacasa. The supporters of Mexico booed when São Miguel do Oeste.SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Pedro Xavier didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Honorato Marz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. São Miguel do Oeste.SC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Mexico's Luca Zorita getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo got a free kick in the 33rd minute. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Facundo Cadaval hit a great ball. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind São Miguel do Oeste.SC's goalkeeper Honorato Marz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Irfan Arnawa in the 39th minute of play. A hard shot 41 in the game by Irfan Arnawa from a close distance when the talented Dante Lacasa managed to make a qualified save. Mexico's players were relieved. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustavo Scarpa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 47th minute São Miguel do Oeste.SC were awarded a corner. Irfan Arnawa went to the cornerflag to take it. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Joel Gaona made the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes of play, Mexico's Joel Gaona made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Honorato Marz was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 62nd minute Irfan Arnawa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lacasa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Moises Boniel went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Honorato Marz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Joel Gaona showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-2 in the 70 minute of play. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Honorato Marz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Irfan Arnawa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Honorato Marz in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by São Miguel do Oeste.SC's Gustavo Scarpa. But to his dismay, Gustavo Scarpa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Irfan Arnawa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 85thth minute of the game Lautaro Mancebo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but São Miguel do Oeste.SC's Honorato Marz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moises Boniel in the 88th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Scarpa in the 91st minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mexico's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
