Lauro Moreira ran back to his position shaking his head. Pedro Manzanares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lauro Moreira in the 8th minute. Lauro Moreira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Manzanares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Abram Sarmiento had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Serafin Eate. Club Atletico Chusca's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abram Sarmiento was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Lauro Moreira ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lauro Moreira in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Manzanares saved Colombia from getting behind. When Club Atletico Chusca's Lauro Moreira in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Colombia's goalie prevented a goal. When the match clock showed 25 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Lauro Moreira sped through Colombia's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Serafin Eate made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santino Seco in the 30th minute of play. Lauro Moreira's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 31stth minute, Pedro Manzanares skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Folke Överman hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Serafin Eate took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abram Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kevin Mastache in the 41st minute of play forced Club Atletico Chusca's goalkeeper Serafin Eate to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Club Atletico Chusca booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlando Tafalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Serafin Eate was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Axel Montenegro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 52 minute of play. Colombia's Abram Sarmiento got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 57 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Chusca's goal looked a bit too open when Abram Sarmiento came free, but Serafin Eate reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Serafin Eate came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Colombia's Abram Sarmiento. But to his dismay, Abram Sarmiento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Orlando Tafalla hit a great ball. Colombia made a substitution. Abram Secada replaced Axel Montenegro. Colombia made a substitution. Ignacio Mastache replaced Abram Sarmiento. The crowd rose to their feet as Colombia's Ignacio Mastache slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Serafin Eate. That made the score 2-4 after 69 minutes of play. When Alberto Confesor came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Club Atletico Chusca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Confesor couldn't finish the play. Pedro Manzanares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lauro Moreira's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Atletico Chusca's Lauro Moreira. But to his dismay, Lauro Moreira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-4. Lauro Moreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some careless play in the Colombia defense, Lauro Moreira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. The Colombia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Manzanares should have stopped the shot. Alberto Confesor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Colombia succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Club Atletico Chusca had controlled the match.
