Florian Plouffe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Francesco Toldo made a huge save. After some careless play in the Olympique Fribourg defense, Mando Lucifer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tristan Arioli. The Olympique Fribourg fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tristan Arioli should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Resurrección Diabólica Ψ's Francesco Toldo got control of the ball when Mateo Esiquio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Resurrección Diabólica Ψ's defense didn't have a chance, in the 28th minute, when Raik Topuz scored to the left of an out of position Francesco Toldo, making the score, 2-2. Raik Topuz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 31stth minute tested the skills of Francesco Toldo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Florian Plouffe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Francesco Toldo made a huge save. Francesco Toldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florian Plouffe in the 36th minute of play. Tristan Arioli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thomas Klanakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Olympique Fribourg's goalie and right to Mihály Sörös. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mando Lucifer to make the kick off. Mateo Esiquio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Francesco Toldo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Francesco Toldo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raik Topuz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 57 minutes, Gabriel Gomez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Resurrección Diabólica Ψ and the Olympique Fribourg players grew even worse after the yellow card.
