Colas Carriles was slow to take the kick. During this time Sociedad Anónima's players had a chance to rest. Don Nickler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adam Adamski having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Fernandez Montoto put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ivan Västlund. 29 minutes into the game, Fernandez Montoto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Ivan Västlund was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 43rd minute of the match, Fernandez Montoto tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ivan Västlund saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 48th minute, Fernandez Montoto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ivan Västlund was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0.

After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Fernandez Montoto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sociedad Anónima's supporters rose to their feet, but Fernandez Montoto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ivan Västlund breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Don Nickler could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Adam Adamski made a huge save. In the 75th minute, Colas Carriles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sociedad Anónima made a substitution. Bidun Cases replaced Fernandez Montoto. In the 86th minute, Bidun Cases left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sociedad Anónima fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Håkan Söderberg during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Håkan Söderberg kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the Sociedad Anónima players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
