The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 9th minute, Uno Bjurström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Don Nickler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Don Nickler in the 17th minute of play forced Olympique Fribourg's goalkeeper Tristan Arioli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Olympique Fribourg getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Omar Bünder hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Florian Plouffe got free with Ivan Västlund in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Westra Aros SK's Ivan Västlund proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Westra Aros SK from getting a goal against them. In the 28th match minute, Westra Aros SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bror Beck to maneuver through the defense. 29 minutes in the game, Raik Topuz fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ivan Västlund having to interfere. Tristan Arioli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alvin Söderkvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th minute Bruno Steiner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Västlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Raik Topuz fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Olympique Fribourg's protests and gave Raik Topuz a yellow card for diving instead. Raik Topuz hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. After having played for 41 minutes, Remo Pürro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Olympique Fribourg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Remo Pürro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Olympique Fribourg booed when Westra Aros SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Uno Bjurström didn't get a good kick on the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Don Nickler to strike the kick off in the second half. 66 minutes into the match, Olympique Fribourg's goalkeeper Tristan Arioli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Don Nickler. Ivan Västlund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raik Topuz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alvin Söderkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Westra Aros SK's Axel Linberg managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ben Zehnder in the 91 minute of the game. 96 minutes into the match, Westra Aros SK's goal looked a bit too open when Florian Plouffe came free, but Ivan Västlund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olympique Fribourg were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Westra Aros SK to leave the ground with a draw.
