Kasper Löfgren didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bror Beck went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 12th minute Leif Kvick shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Västlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stockholm IF's Kasper Löfgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Don Nickler in the 15th minute of play. Don Nickler could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Kasper Löfgren made a huge save. In the 27th minute Stockholm IF were awarded a corner. Nils-Erik Ekström went to the cornerflag to take it. Kasper Löfgren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bror Beck in the 29th minute. In the 35th minute, Stockholm IF's Osvald Kihlberg seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Osvald Kihlberg the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Stockholm IF protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Osvald Kihlberg had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 34 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Stockholm IF! The goalkeeper, Kasper Löfgren, was totally fooled by Westra Aros SK's Don Nickler, who 37 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 44th minute, Don Back hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Don Nickler in the 48th minute of play forced Stockholm IF's goalkeeper Kasper Löfgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Don Nickler was the one to do the kick off. Håkan Söderberg charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Håkan Söderberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Stockholm IF booed when Westra Aros SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Håkan Söderberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Bror Beck put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Kasper Löfgren. An unexpectedly hard shot by Don Nickler in the 71st minute of play forced Stockholm IF's goalkeeper Kasper Löfgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Bror Beck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 74 played minutes Stockholm IF got a freekick which was hit by Björn Tinglöf. A collision led to Westra Aros SK getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Don Back hit a great ball. After 80 played minutes Westra Aros SK got a freekick which was hit by Bror Beck. 82 minutes into the match, Stockholm IF's goal looked a bit too open when Don Nickler came free, but Kasper Löfgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kasper Löfgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Don Nickler in the 85th minute of the match. In the 86th minute of the match Westra Aros SK got a corner. Stockholm IF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Håkan Söderberg ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Håkan Söderberg almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Stockholm IF's Kasper Löfgren did a great save. After some careless play in the Stockholm IF defense, Don Nickler kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kasper Löfgren. The Stockholm IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kasper Löfgren should have stopped the shot. Don Nickler took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kasper Löfgren. Kasper Löfgren dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Westra Aros SK had played much better football throughout.
