Guillaume Vittiger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kasper Löfgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Quintus Melliger in the 12th minute of the match. 12 minutes in the game, Quintus Melliger dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. In the 14th minute Paolo Bur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kasper Löfgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andreas Huri hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. In the 20th minute Quintus Melliger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kasper Löfgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kasper Löfgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Errol Marbach, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 48 minutes, Elia Delfs made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Stockholm IF's Kasper Löfgren tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Karl Mattsson was the one to do the kick off. Kasper Löfgren was out of position in the 87 minute of play, and Paolo Bur capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Paolo Bur really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. When Andreas Huri fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Olympique Fribourg's protests and gave Andreas Huri a yellow card for diving instead. After 95 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Olympique Fribourg! Guillaume Vittiger had in the 96thth minute some difficulties stopping Nils-Erik Ekström's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. When the match was over Olympique Fribourg could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Stockholm IF throughout the match.
