Ivan Västlund didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Herensuge Villafranca went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Don Back during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herensuge Villafranca in the 27th minute of play forced Westra Aros SK's goalkeeper Ivan Västlund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Sociedad Anónima booed when Westra Aros SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Don Nickler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Herensuge Villafranca struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Ivan Västlund didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sociedad Anónima.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Don Nickler to make the kick off. Sociedad Anónima were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Westra Aros SK's much stronger midfield.
