Deng Le Jian recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 11th minute Deng Le Jian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hoàng Tran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wlodzimierz Cipinski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nguyễn Chuong in the 19th minute. Hoàng Tran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rudolf Nordstedt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rudolf Nordstedt in the 20th minute of play forced FC Dalin's goalkeeper Hoàng Tran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 22 played minutes FC Dalin got a freekick which was hit by Huỳnh Thuy. In the 23rd minute, Emilio Jakue ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hoàng Tran was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 25th match minute, GAIS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edvard Björling to maneuver through the defense. GAIS's Wlodzimierz Cipinski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save GAIS from getting a goal against them. After 29 played minutes FC Dalin got a freekick which was hit by Huỳnh Thuy. Hoàng Tran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rudolf Nordstedt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Huỳnh Thuy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Trần Ritchell in the 42nd minute of play forced GAIS's goalkeeper Wlodzimierz Cipinski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to GAIS getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Edvard Björling hit a great ball. When Huỳnh Thuy came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the FC Dalin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Huỳnh Thuy couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in GAIS's zone, Trần Ritchell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wlodzimierz Cipinski came out of the goal and Trần Ritchell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Huỳnh Thuy to make the kick off. FC Dalin's Hoàng Tran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Konrad Josefsson in the 55th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Xamo Navarro could shoot a difficult shot in the 58th minute, which Hoàng Tran however easily saved by the left post. FC Dalin's Hoàng Tran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rudolf Nordstedt in the 60th minute of play. Rudolf Nordstedt kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. After having played for 84 minutes, Edvard Björling managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GAIS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edvard Björling was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 85 minutes into the game, Emilio Jakue cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Hoàng Tran was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 93rd minute, Nghiêm Tong hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 95th minute, Trần Ritchell ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wlodzimierz Cipinski was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. GAIS's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
