The audience thought a goal was coming when Will Wipp got free with Rhys Dimmock in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Peter Roofhoof had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Joonatan Van Landewijcks short, quick shot in the 29thth minute got Rhys Dimmock to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Mitch Lauwers came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Zamalek FC's Daron Joseph. But to his dismay, Daron Joseph quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Mugurel Balaeț sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zamalek FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 35th minute, when Joonatan Van Landewijck scored to the left of an out of position Rhys Dimmock, making the score, 1-1. Minion Mim's Mitch Lauwers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tytus Banaszak in the 40th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daron Joseph in the 43rd minute of play forced Minion Mim's goalkeeper Mitch Lauwers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rhys Dimmock showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peter Roofhoof, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Minion Mim's zone, Daron Joseph stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mitch Lauwers came out of the goal and Daron Joseph tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joonatan Van Landewijck stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by Zamalek FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jasper Rosario was slow to take the kick. During this time Minion Mim's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Minion Mim's Terry De Hoef to fire away a dangerous shot which Rhys Dimmock despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 57 minutes had been played when some careless play by Minion Mim's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Leonardo Lane replaced Daron Joseph. The Minion Mim supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Zamalek FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Zamalek FC.
