In the 52nd minute, Mugurel Balaeț ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wlodzimierz Cipinski was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in GAIS's zone, Sergey Krasinskiy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wlodzimierz Cipinski came out of the goal and Sergey Krasinskiy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Zamalek FC's Mugurel Balaeț in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Wlodzimierz Cipinski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mugurel Balaeț in the 74th minute of play. Wlodzimierz Cipinski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mugurel Balaeț, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Zamalek FC had won after a very even match.
