Sigvard Biörnberg hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Rönnöfors FF's Bertil Hellgren got a free kick in the 38th minute. Dimitri Bougault's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Magne Gunnarsson - 2-1 was put on the score board in the 39th minute. Herblay's Ludomil Kajdasz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Per Stenberg in the 42nd minute of play. In the 44th minute, Per Stenberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rönnöfors FF's Per Stenberg got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arnaud Konieczny was the one to do the kick off. If Arnaud Konieczny had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rönnöfors FF's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Per Stenberg in the 60th minute. The corner led Herblay's Dimitri Bougault to fire away a dangerous shot which Magne Gunnarsson despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Ludomil Kajdasz was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Per Stenberg. If Per Tunström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Herblay walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
