The crowd rose to their feet as Herblay's Arnaud Konieczny slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Călin Prunaru. That made the score 1-0 after 8 minutes of play. With a little luck, FC MCM's Călin Prunaru got control of the ball when Antonin Dagorne tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ludomil Kajdasz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adrian Isbășoiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ludomil Kajdasz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viktor Axelsson in the 14th minute of the match. Ludomil Kajdasz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cătălin Agulescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. 22 minutes into the match, FC MCM's goalkeeper Călin Prunaru had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arnaud Konieczny. If Arnaud Konieczny had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Norbert Cadart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Călin Prunaru having to interfere. FC MCM's Călin Prunaru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonin Dagorne in the 33rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonin Dagorne in the 36th minute of play forced FC MCM's goalkeeper Călin Prunaru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute, Antonin Dagorne reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Călin Prunaru. The goal made the score 2-2. In the 38thth minute of the game Viktor Axelsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Herblay's Ludomil Kajdasz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Viktor Axelsson to make the kick off. 50 minutes into the game, Cătălin Agulescu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ludomil Kajdasz. Cătălin Agulescu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. FC MCM's Călin Prunaru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Norbert Cadart in the 58th minute of play. In the 61st minute, Holger Duusgaard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Vali Cârnu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antonin Dagorne recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of FC MCM booed when Herblay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joël Willaume didn't get a good kick on the ball. Călin Prunaru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antonin Dagorne, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Vali Cârnus short, quick shot in the 84thth minute got Ludomil Kajdasz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Călin Prunaru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antonin Dagorne in the 90th minute of the match. After 90 played minutes FC MCM got a freekick which was hit by Vali Cârnu. In the 94th minute, FC MCM's Cătălin Agulescu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-4. FC MCM's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
