When Abraham Beauval came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Les Pionniers de Touraine fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abraham Beauval couldn't finish the play. 22 minutes into the game, FC MCM's Viktor Axelsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tanek Zurawski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 25 minutes into the match, Les Pionniers de Touraine's goalkeeper Tanek Zurawski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pau Novo. Abraham Beauval's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Călin Prunaru read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Abraham Beauval's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Călin Prunaru was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. Tanek Zurawski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pau Novo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Abraham Beauval made the kick off in the second half. Călin Prunaru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Léon Sureau, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Pau Novo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Călin Prunaru came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Les Pionniers de Touraine's Abraham Beauval. But to his dismay, Abraham Beauval quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Les Pionniers de Touraine's Abraham Beauval got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Les Pionniers de Touraine made a substitution. Hervé Malaise replaced Raphaël Lallemand. Les Pionniers de Touraine's Désiré Alberto was substituted for Patryk Kopacz. After 70 played minutes FC MCM got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Isbășoiu. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Călin Prunaru prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The corner led Les Pionniers de Touraine's Léon Sureau to fire away a dangerous shot which Călin Prunaru despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.
