Arnaud Konieczny's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Adrien Tanneau firmly grabbed it by the left post. Ludomil Kajdasz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guillaume Chaine in the 23rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guillaume Chaine in the 46th minute of play forced Herblay's goalkeeper Ludomil Kajdasz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Herblay players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Valette Stars were winning 0-1.

Valette Stars's Adrien Tanneau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnaud Konieczny in the 51st minute of play. Guillaume Chaine's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ludomil Kajdasz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, Valette Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Norbert Cadart came free, but Adrien Tanneau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
