Ronnie Hellström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albino Peruanton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chen Ao Fan in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Atahan Balon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ronnie Hellström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Asiz Soon in the 15th minute of the match. Hjalmar Hägert kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. In the 16th minute of the match Cristian Urtzi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ronnie Hellström showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Kurt Hamrin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Los Muchachos del 86's Atahan Balon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kurt Hamrin in the 18th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Los Muchachos del 86's zone, Kurt Hamrin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Atahan Balon came out of the goal and Kurt Hamrin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Atahan Balon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kurt Hamrin in the 32nd minute of play. Skövde AIK's Ronnie Hellström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Asiz Soon in the 35th minute of play. Atahan Balon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kevin Keegan in the 40th minute. Kevin Keegan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Atahan Balon having to make a save. Chen Ao Fan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 43rdth minute tested the skills of Atahan Balon when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Kurt Hamrin kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Chen Ao Fan to make the kick off. Chen Ao Fan struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Atahan Balon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Skövde AIK. After 54 minutes, Chen Ao Fan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Skövde AIK and the Los Muchachos del 86 players grew even worse after the yellow card. Los Muchachos del 86 made a substitution. Marco Maurino replaced Ladislao Constancio. After 55 played minutes Skövde AIK got a freekick which was hit by Chen Ao Fan. Ronnie Hellström made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Ricardo-Enrique Bochini sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Skövde AIK's Hans Petersson got a free kick in the 74th minute. Los Muchachos del 86 made a substitution. Damian Honesto replaced Saverio Brion. Fabio Bencivenni hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chen Ao Fan in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Atahan Balon saved Los Muchachos del 86 from getting behind. Atahan Balon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chen Ao Fan in the 82nd minute of the match. After 88 played minutes Los Muchachos del 86 got a freekick which was hit by Erubiel Txaran. In the 89th minute of the match Kevin Keegan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Atahan Balon skillfully saved the ball. After 90 played minutes Los Muchachos del 86 got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Urtzi. When Cristian Urtzi was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 92 minutes had been played. Kevin Keegan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Atahan Balon having to make a save. Los Muchachos del 86's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
