The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Pastor Nofre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronnie Hellström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Skövde AIK's Ronnie Hellström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hong Yi Yang in the 10th minute of play. Ronnie Hellström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Uriel Cordearo, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Kevin Keegan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dalmacio Pello having to interfere. Chen Ao Fan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Dalmacio Pello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Faustino Unax sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the match clock showed 27 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Uriel Cordearo sped through Skövde AIK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ronnie Hellström. When Kevin Keegan came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Skövde AIK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kevin Keegan couldn't finish the play. With an all-out effort, Skövde AIK's Dalmacio Pello threw himself towards the right post 38 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Chen Ao Fan, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Kevin Keegan came free with the goalkeeper in the 40th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dalmacio Pello could save by the left post. Skövde AIK were awarded a corner in the 41th minute after Tello AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Chen Ao Fan took the corner. In the 43rd minute, Hjalmar Hägert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Skövde AIK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Tello AFC were winning 0-3.

After some careless play in the Skövde AIK defense, Uriel Cordearo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ronnie Hellström. The Skövde AIK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ronnie Hellström should have stopped the shot. Ronnie Hellström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pastor Nofre in the 61st minute of the match. When Pastor Nofre came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Tello AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pastor Nofre couldn't finish the play. Ronnie Hellström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pastor Nofre in the 65th minute. Tello AFC's Dalmacio Pello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chen Ao Fan in the 69th minute of play. Tello AFC's Virgilio Van Dijck was substituted for Faustino Unax. Emanuel Vollens made in the 72nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Martin Billing however managed to control. After 76th play minutes Uriel Cordearo shot 0-5, a short shot which went by Ronnie Hellström and just under the crossbar into goal. Ronnie Hellström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pastor Nofre in the 78th minute of play. In the 83rd match minute, Tello AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Markus Smart to maneuver through the defense. Uriel Cordearo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tello AFC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
