In the 39th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexander Carballo to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by 유 오 in the 41st minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st play minute 유 오 came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Benito Sanz. 1-1. 유 오 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Axel Tasis to strike the kick off in the second half. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Manchester United's 유 오. But to his dismay, 유 오 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. After 54 minutes of play, Manchester United's 이 탄 made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! If 유 오 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 유 오 in the 61st minute of the match. In the 63rd minute 유 오 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Axel Tasis hit a great ball. In the 66th minute 유 오 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Lautaro Puig fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Lautaro Puig a yellow card for diving instead. Lautaro Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Manchester United's supporters crossed their fingers, but 유 오 was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eliseo Noboa charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eliseo Noboa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 유 오 in the 80th minute of play. In the 91st minute 김 묘 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Aaron Alcocer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 95 minutes into the match, 김 묘 had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that 김 묘 was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Manchester United had played much better football throughout.
