Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Joel Gaona took the kick off in the first half of the match. Radoman Karaičić kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radoman Karaičić, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Facundo Cadaval fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Staniša Šorgić having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 26th minute of play forced Thornhill City's goalkeeper Staniša Šorgić to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Staniša Šorgić showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 28th minute of the match. Staniša Šorgić took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radoman Karaičić, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. The supporters of Mexico booed when Thornhill City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stefan Bjelić didn't get a good kick on the ball. Staniša Šorgić didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joel Gaona went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After the first half Mexico were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Radoman Karaičić made the kick off in the second half. 61 minutes into the match, Thornhill City's Dejan Jovanić sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dante Lacasa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 62 played minutes Thornhill City got a freekick which was hit by Damjan Stevančević. In the 65th minute, Alberto Tafalla left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Thornhill City's Oscar-Alfredo Ruggeri quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Leonardo Leoz, made in the 68th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 69th minute of play forced Thornhill City's goalkeeper Staniša Šorgić to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 80 minutes into the match, Thornhill City's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Staniša Šorgić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 86 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Thornhill City! The goalkeeper, Staniša Šorgić, was totally fooled by Mexico's Joel Gaona, who 88 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Staniša Šorgić made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 91st minute of play. Staniša Šorgić made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Thornhill City defense, Lautaro Mancebo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Staniša Šorgić. The Thornhill City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Staniša Šorgić should have stopped the shot. Mexico played a much better game than Thornhill City and deserved their victory. The Thornhill City players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
