Franco Giancola kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 15th minute of play forced Akira アキラ's goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Akira アキラ's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Giorgi Mamardashvili came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jose Correa's late challenge caught a Akira アキラ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jose Correa helped the player get up and apologised. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Liu Zhi Guang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Akira アキラ booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Mariano didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Eugênio Teles tried to sneak it across the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Tomas Illescas made the kick off in the second half. Giorgi Mamardashvili made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 58th minute. In the 74th minute Liu Zhi Guang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 75 minutes Venezuela's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Eugênio Teles who took care of the corner kick. Eugênio Teles made a great header on Akira アキラ's corner, it was just that Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant managed to reach the ball for a save. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laércio Torres, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 88th minute, Franco Giancola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 90th minute Liu Zhi Guang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Akira アキラ's Liu Zhi Guang got a free kick in the 92nd minute.
