Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Costa Rica's Axel Tasis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Yoruba FC's Tochi Oluwafemi got a free kick in the 4th minute. If Lautaro Puig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 10 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Ferrant. After 11 played minutes Tochi Oluwafemi rounded Costa Rica's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. After 18 minutes, Kurzform Ezeonyebuchi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Yoruba FC and the Costa Rica players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Yoruba FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kurzform Ezeonyebuchi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eby Abodunrin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Festus Owotoki tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Festus Owotoki managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yoruba FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Festus Owotoki was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Tochi Oluwafemi came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Yoruba FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tochi Oluwafemi couldn't finish the play. In the 35th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Moruga to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Festus Owotoki managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yoruba FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Festus Owotoki was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Benito Sanz didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Yoruba FC's Tochi Oluwafemi shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-0 in the ordered_time% minute. After 43 played minutes Yoruba FC got a freekick which was hit by Kurzform Ezeonyebuchi. After 46 minutes, Aaron Alcocer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the Yoruba FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Eby Abodunrin came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Yoruba FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eby Abodunrin couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tochi Oluwafemi to make the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Yoruba FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ikedinachukwu Ekong to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tochi Oluwafemi in the 60th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Yoruba FC's Abdullahi Akamagwuna got a free kick in the 64th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 65th minute of play forced Yoruba FC's goalkeeper Chukwudi Henry Odhiambo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Yoruba FC's Festus Owotoki. But to his dismay, Festus Owotoki quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Yoruba FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 82nd minute, when Eliseo Noboa scored to the left of an out of position Chukwudi Henry Odhiambo, making the score, 3-1. Festus Owotoki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Tochi Oluwafemi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Rubio to maneuver through the defense. Abel Carballo kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Chiazago Akinola struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yoruba FC. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Yoruba FC fully deserved thier win.
