Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Uruguay's Francisco Seco started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 9th minute, Pepito Barral left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The LIVERPOOL fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 14 minutes into the game, Alberto Gisbert was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Uruguay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave LIVERPOOL the free kick. In the 14th minute, Alberto Gisbert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th minute Pepito Barral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pepito Barral struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Joaquin Gayoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LIVERPOOL. In the 27th minute, Francisco Seco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. LIVERPOOL's Elvis Reyes quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Arturo Carvallo, made in the 29th minute of the game. LIVERPOOL's Eufemio Valverde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Seco in the 32nd minute of play. Eufemio Valverde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Seco in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 37th minute Francisco Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eufemio Valverde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to LIVERPOOL getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Bozkurt Akşit hit a great ball. 41 minutes into the match, LIVERPOOL's Pepito Barral sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joaquin Gayoso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Uruguay from getting a goal against them. After 47 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Seco.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pepito Barral stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Francisco Seco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Eufemio Valverde made a huge save. Arturo Carvallo hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ariel Reyes during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, LIVERPOOL's Ariel Reyes got a free kick in the 62nd minute. The throw-in from Arturo Carvallo in the 65th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by LIVERPOOL's Elvis Reyes. 66 minutes into the match, LIVERPOOL's goalkeeper Eufemio Valverde had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Seco. Coronel Montaña struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Joaquin Gayoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LIVERPOOL. Francisco Seco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 77 minutes into the game, LIVERPOOL's Pepito Barral nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joaquin Gayoso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. When Francisco Seco came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Uruguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco Seco couldn't finish the play. Eufemio Valverde made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francisco Seco in the 86th minute. After 96 minutes, Francisco Seco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Uruguay and the LIVERPOOL players grew even worse after the yellow card. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. LIVERPOOL had won after a very even match.
