Jordão Sesimbra hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. The supporters of Ecuador booed when the Red Devils was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jordão Sesimbra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Agustín Saelices in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sören Glanselius prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sören Glanselius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Daniel Zorita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sören Glanselius was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. In the 23rd minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. the Red Devils's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristian Sancho in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. In the 24th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sören Glanselius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sören Glanselius didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 31st minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 35th minute after the Red Devils's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. 39 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of the Red Devils's Sören Glanselius. Sören Glanselius was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sören Glanselius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Sören Glanselius was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Furkan Erbay's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Furkan Erbay in the 74th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute, Selahaddin Yeler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 79 minutes into the game, Camilo Gisbert threw the ball into play from the sideline. the Red Devils's Tobias Saboya quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After 81 played minutes the Red Devils got a freekick which was hit by Selahaddin Yeler. Camilo Gisbert got a throw-in 86 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Luis Andino. After a rather tough play, the Red Devils's Jordão Sesimbra got a free kick in the 87th minute. Sören Glanselius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 90th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Tobias Saboya hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The the Red Devils fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
