Octavian Vătăşel came out of the goal and Florentino Wynn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Resolution's Michale Coffey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dinu Mascovescu in the 6th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kirby Mathews got free with Octavian Vătăşel in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 10 minutes into the match, Resolution's goal looked a bit too open when Nicu Pătru came free, but Michale Coffey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Resolution's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 22 minutes into the match, Resolution's goal looked a bit too open when Nicu Pătru came free, but Michale Coffey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Nicu Pătru notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Resolution's Michale Coffey. Michale Coffey was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Pitangeles's Codrin Drăgoescu got a free kick in the 28th minute. Octavian Vătăşel was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Omar Donnelly showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 29 minute of play. Resolution's Michale Coffey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vasile Ciorbea in the 37th minute of play. In the 38th match minute, Pitangeles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Codrin Drăgoescu to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Resolution defense, Vasile Ciorbea kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Michale Coffey. The Resolution fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Michale Coffey should have stopped the shot. 44 minutes into the match, Nicu Pătru notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of Resolution's Michale Coffey. Michale Coffey was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 47 minutes, Codrin Drăgoescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pitangeles's supporters crossed their fingers, but Codrin Drăgoescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 1-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Octavian Vătăşel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from François Spaulding in the 51st minute of play. With an all-out effort, Pitangeles's Michale Coffey threw himself towards the right post 53 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Dinu Mascovescu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With a little luck, Resolution's Michale Coffey got control of the ball when Codrin Drăgoescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 58th minute Codrin Drăgoescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michale Coffey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicu Pătru took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Michale Coffey. Michale Coffey dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-7. Marc Chalut lost his temper 68 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The supporters of Pitangeles booed when Resolution was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marc Chalut didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 72 minutes, Nicu Pătru managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pitangeles's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicu Pătru was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 77th match minute, Resolution was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Philip Gustafson to maneuver through the defense. Dinu Mascovescu took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Michale Coffey. Michale Coffey dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-9. Florentino Wynn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Resolution's defense didn't have a chance, in the 89th minute, when Vasile Ciorbea scored to the left of an out of position Michale Coffey, making the score, 1-10. Nicu Pătru could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Michale Coffey made a huge save.
