The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the game, Paşa Savtekin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Galatasaray's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kensington F.C the free kick. After having played for 8 minutes, Mickey Clegg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kensington F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mickey Clegg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Mickey Clegg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kensington F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Mickey Clegg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mürsel Okboğa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Warren Bayford made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Onuralp Ekincioğlu in the 12th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Onuralp Ekincioğlu in the 14th minute of play forced Kensington F.C's goalkeeper Warren Bayford to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mickey Clegg in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mürsel Okboğa saved Galatasaray from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kenan Tülün in the 17th minute of play forced Kensington F.C's goalkeeper Warren Bayford to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Kenan Tülün kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Warren Bayford. That made the score 1-0 in the 18 minute of play. After 23 played minutes Kensington F.C got a freekick which was hit by Zak Duke. Kensington F.C's Warren Bayford played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kenan Tülün in the 24th minute of play. In the 25thth minute of the game Kenan Tülün who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kensington F.C's Warren Bayford was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 26 minutes into the game, Hayrettin Sarı was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Galatasaray's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kensington F.C the free kick. After a rather tough play, Galatasaray's Hayrettin Sarı got a free kick in the 26th minute. Hayrettin Sarı hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. When Frazer Hurst came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Kensington F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frazer Hurst couldn't finish the play. Onuralp Ekincioğlu hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. A collision led to Kensington F.C getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Michael Mortimer hit a great ball. 37 minutes into the match, Kenan Tülün dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Warren Bayford, 2-0. Rory Downs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Kensington F.C's Warren Bayford got control of the ball when Arkın Terzioğlu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Arkın Terzioğlu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mickey Clegg to strike the kick off in the second half. Warren Bayford showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arkın Terzioğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After having played for 56 minutes, Arkın Terzioğlu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galatasaray's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arkın Terzioğlu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 57 minutes into the game, Zak Duke was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mürsel Okboğa came out and tried to block the shot, but Mickey Clegg slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 60th minute. After 65 played minutes Kensington F.C got a freekick which was hit by Michael Mortimer. When Ross Mawson fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kensington F.C's protests and gave Ross Mawson a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Kensington F.C fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 71st minute. Penalty! In the 72nd minute there was a penalty for Galatasaray. Aşır Kuman stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Warren Bayford. 3-1. Warren Bayford showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arkın Terzioğlu in the 76th minute of the match. Arkın Terzioğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Warren Bayford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Galatasaray's Mürsel Okboğa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Galatasaray from getting a goal against them. Mickey Clegg did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-2 to the left of a surprised Mürsel Okboğa 85 minutes into the match. In the 89th match minute, Kensington F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michael Mortimer to maneuver through the defense. 90 minutes into the match, Arkın Terzioğlu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Warren Bayford. Kensington F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arkın Terzioğlu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. Arkın Terzioğlu took the ball and in the 97 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Warren Bayford. Warren Bayford dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-2. Galatasaray were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Kensington F.C for a fine match.
