In the 7thth minute of the game Nicu Pătru who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gjæsvær BK's Albert Øverbø was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, Nicu Pătru put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Albert Øverbø. Octavian Vătăşel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jon-Erik Leirdal in the 10th minute of the match. When Pitangeles's Vasile Ciorbea in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gjæsvær BK's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vasile Ciorbea in the 14th minute of play forced Gjæsvær BK's goalkeeper Albert Øverbø to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Pitangeles's Octavian Vătăşel got control of the ball when Reidar Toresen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dinu Mascovescu kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Gjæsvær BK's zone, Nicu Pătru stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albert Øverbø came out of the goal and Nicu Pătru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vasile Ciorbea in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Albert Øverbø prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 21 minutes, Vasile Ciorbea made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Gjæsvær BK's Albert Øverbø tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Reidar Toresen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavian Vătăşel having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, Vebjørn Nedrebø notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Pitangeles's Octavian Vătăşel. Octavian Vătăşel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jonas Serigstad made in the 31st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Pitangeles's Dinu Mascovescu. Dinu Mascovescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Albert Øverbø read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 34 minutes into the game, when Dragoş Herlea put in a rough tackle. Dragoş Herlea kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Dinu Mascovescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albert Øverbø having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Pitangeles's Moise Aldulescu got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Pitangeles's Octavian Vătăşel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ole Meling in the 44th minute of play. In the 45th minute, Marius Buricea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Torjus Holmvik kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The Gjæsvær BK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Pitangeles were winning 1-2.

52 minutes into the match, Jon-Erik Leirdal notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Pitangeles's Octavian Vătăşel. Octavian Vătăşel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 63 minutes of play, Gjæsvær BK's Jon-Erik Leirdal made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Octavian Vătăşel was left in no man's land by his defense there! Pitangeles's Octavian Vătăşel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jon-Erik Leirdal in the 66th minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Gjæsvær BK's goalkeeper Albert Øverbø had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nicu Pătru. In the 78th minute, Nicu Pătru made a precise shot to the right of Albert Øverbø. Gjæsvær BK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-4. Codrin Drăgoescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Albert Øverbø tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pitangeles's Octavian Vătăşel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geir Alnes in the 84th minute of play. Nicu Pătru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th minute, Gjæsvær BK's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Codrin Drăgoescu fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Octavian Vătăşel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vebjørn Nedrebø in the 95th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Pitangeles eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
