When the match had gone on for 3 minutes, Jon-Erik Leirdal took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Vicente Simões to make any attempt to save it. Vicente Simões showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jon-Erik Leirdal in the 8th minute of the match. In the 13th minute, Reidar Toresen made a precise shot to the right of Vicente Simões. Dream Team FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. A collision led to Gjæsvær BK getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Ole Meling hit a great ball. It was beautiful to see Dream Team FC's David Frois in action when he in the 18th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Kjartan Villanger hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Reidar Toresen came free with the goalkeeper in the 24th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Vicente Simões could save by the left post. When Joaquim Araújo fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dream Team FC's protests and gave Joaquim Araújo a yellow card for diving instead. 26 minutes into the match, Reidar Toresen notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Dream Team FC's Vicente Simões. Vicente Simões was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 29 minutes into the match, Dream Team FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jon-Erik Leirdal came free, but Vicente Simões reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute of the match, Reidar Toresen got a very nice opportunity to score, but Vicente Simões was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Reidar Toresen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Vicente Simões made a huge save. If Aquilino Póvoas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Reidar Toresen got free with Vicente Simões in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

After 53 minutes of play, Gjæsvær BK's Geir Alnes made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vicente Simões was left in no man's land by his defense there! Teófilo Carneiro kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Vicente Simões stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Reidar Toresen's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. 69 minutes into the match, Dream Team FC's goal looked a bit too open when Reidar Toresen came free, but Vicente Simões reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Dream Team FC's Joaquim Araújo got a free kick in the 72nd minute. In the 77th minute, Aquilino Póvoas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Albert Øverbø. The goal made the score 4-1. After a rather tough play, Gjæsvær BK's Terje Stålesen got a free kick in the 79th minute. After having played for 80 minutes, Gil Vargas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dream Team FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gil Vargas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Dream Team FC's Diego Resende got a free kick in the 81st minute. After 84 played minutes Gjæsvær BK got a freekick which was hit by Terje Stålesen. A collision led to Dream Team FC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Teófilo Carneiro hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reidar Toresen in the 88th minute of play forced Dream Team FC's goalkeeper Vicente Simões to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dream Team FC's Vicente Simões played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reidar Toresen in the 92nd minute of play. Vicente Simões took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jon-Erik Leirdal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dream Team FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
