Fery Tarigan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Candra Sembiring, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. The audience was convinced that Leonard Haryanto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Henry Muchtaji was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. 25 minutes into the game, PSP Kasurai's Djati Simanungkalit nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. After 40 played minutes Tjompreng FC got a freekick which was hit by Yahya Wibowo. In the 43rd match minute, PSP Kasurai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rabun Romatua to maneuver through the defense. In the 46th minute, Haikal Tarigan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The wind increased when Leonard Haryanto made the kick off in the second half. When Kia Barus came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Tjompreng FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kia Barus couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the PSP Kasurai defense, Kia Ie kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fery Tarigan. The PSP Kasurai fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fery Tarigan should have stopped the shot. In the 64th minute, Kia Barus got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fery Tarigan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kia Ie went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. PSP Kasurai's Fery Tarigan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Candra Sembiring in the 70th minute of play. Kia Barus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74th minute, Kia Ie made a precise shot to the right of Fery Tarigan. PSP Kasurai's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. After having played for 77 minutes, Candra Sembiring managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tjompreng FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Candra Sembiring was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 83rd minute, Elie Kooth ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fery Tarigan was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-2. A collision led to PSP Kasurai getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Dewa Wibowo hit a great ball. In the 90th minute, Elie Kooth sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and PSP Kasurai's Fery Tarigan didn't even have to move. If Leonard Haryanto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
