The supporters of Hansa Rostock booed when Al-Wasl SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hamad Al Ateqi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Al-Wasl SC defense, 任超烽 kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mubarek Baroun. The Al-Wasl SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mubarek Baroun should have stopped the shot. In the 11th minute, Francisco Jakobe ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mubarek Baroun was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Mubarek Baroun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Jakobe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 14 minutes into the match, Francisco Jakobe had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mubarek Baroun. Al-Wasl SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Francisco Jakobe was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. With a left leg Mubarek Baroun saved Al-Wasl SC from getting behind. 26 minutes into the match, Al-Wasl SC's goal looked a bit too open when 任超烽 came free, but Mubarek Baroun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, Hansa Rostock's goal looked a bit too open when Mosab Mandane came free, but Valentin Szigeti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 34 minutes into the game, 任超烽 cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Mubarek Baroun was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Hansa Rostock fans' excitement grew in the 37th match minute when Hansa Rostock's Francisco Jakobe looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Hansa Rostock's supporters crossed their fingers, but 任超烽 was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 41st minute, Abdullah Al Azmi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 43rd minute, 崔辉悦 got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 45th minute, 宋林彬 made a precise shot to the right of Mubarek Baroun. Al-Wasl SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-7. After the first half Hansa Rostock were leading 0-7. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Francisco Jakobe made the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Hansa Rostock's Francisco Jakobe slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mubarek Baroun. That made the score 0-8 after 51 minutes of play. After 59th play minutes Francisco Jakobe shot 0-9, a short shot which went by Mubarek Baroun and just under the crossbar into goal. Al-Wasl SC's Mubarek Baroun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 宋林彬 in the 63rd minute of play. After having played for 64 minutes, Francisco Jakobe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hansa Rostock's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco Jakobe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mubarek Baroun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 任超烽, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. After 70 minutes of play, Hansa Rostock's Francisco Jakobe made it 0-11 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mubarek Baroun was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 74th play minutes 崔辉悦 shot 0-12, a short shot which went by Mubarek Baroun and just under the crossbar into goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers 崔辉悦 in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mubarek Baroun saved Al-Wasl SC from getting behind. In the 79th minute, Francisco Jakobe left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hansa Rostock fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-13. Al-Wasl SC's Mubarek Baroun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Jakobe in the 82nd minute of play. A collision led to Al-Wasl SC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Yousef Al Sharaf hit a great ball. Hansa Rostock's 任超烽 was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 88th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Francisco Jakobe did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-15 to the left of a surprised Mubarek Baroun 91 minutes into the match. 0-16 became the score in the 94th minute when Francisco Jakobe elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When the match was over Hansa Rostock could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Al-Wasl SC throughout the match.
