Robert Auf der Maur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Jakobe in the 5th minute of the match. 7 minutes into the game, Hansa Rostock's Francisco Jakobe nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Robert Auf der Maur made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After a rather tough play, Saint Etienne's Perry Traube got a free kick in the 10th minute. 11 minutes into the game, 宋林彬 cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Robert Auf der Maur was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 袁强常 kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. After 17 minutes, 任超烽 made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Saint Etienne's Robert Auf der Maur tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 19 minutes into the game, 尹常青 was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hansa Rostock's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Saint Etienne the free kick. 21 minutes into the match, Hansa Rostock's goalkeeper Valentin Szigeti had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustav Pilz. Robert Auf der Maur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 宋林彬, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 27 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Francisco Jakobe sped through Saint Etienne's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Robert Auf der Maur. Gustav Pilz kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Robert Auf der Maur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 任超烽 in the 33rd minute of play. Robert Auf der Maur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 宋林彬, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Robert Auf der Maur dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. Robert Auf der Maur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 崔辉悦, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Francisco Jakobe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Robert Auf der Maur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-6 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gustav Pilz was the one to do the kick off. Saint Etienne's Robert Auf der Maur proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Saint Etienne from getting a goal against them. Robert Auf der Maur was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Francisco Jakobe showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-7 in the 54 minute of play. 57 minutes into the game, Francisco Jakobe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-8. Robert Auf der Maur was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 66 minutes into the match, Saint Etienne's goal looked a bit too open when 任超烽 came free, but Robert Auf der Maur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Saint Etienne's Bernd von Grimmelhausen got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Robert Auf der Maur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Jakobe, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Francisco Jakobe did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-10 to the left of a surprised Robert Auf der Maur 70 minutes into the match. When 崔辉悦 came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Hansa Rostock fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that 崔辉悦 couldn't finish the play. 77 minutes into the match, Francisco Jakobe dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Robert Auf der Maur, 0-11. Robert Auf der Maur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 崔辉悦 in the 81st minute of play. Robert Auf der Maur stood somewhat misplaced when 崔辉悦 came free in front of goal and shot 0-12 to the left of him in the 82 minute. Robert Auf der Maur didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Francisco Jakobe went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-13 was the resulting score. If 崔辉悦 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 宋林彬 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Robert Auf der Maur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Francisco Jakobe in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Robert Auf der Maur prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 93 minutes into the game, 崔辉悦 recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Robert Auf der Maur. 崔辉悦 showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-14.
