Nguyễn Phuong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Djati Simanungkalit, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nguyễn Phuong showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonard Haryanto, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Djati Simanungkalit took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nguyễn Phuong. Nguyễn Phuong dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Fery Tarigan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Trần Hung, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dương Dong could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Fery Tarigan made a huge save. Trần Hung's late challenge caught a PSP Kasurai's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Trần Hung helped the player get up and apologised. In the 37th match minute, Dong Xoai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Trần Hung to maneuver through the defense. Dong Xoai's Nguyễn Phuong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Djati Simanungkalit in the 38th minute of play. Dong Xoai's Đỗ Teo pulled a muscle in his back after 41 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Leonard Haryanto made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, PSP Kasurai's Djati Simanungkalit nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nguyễn Phuong made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fadh Sarwanto in the 57th minute of play forced Dong Xoai's goalkeeper Nguyễn Phuong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leonard Haryanto might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nguyễn Phuong. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leonard Haryanto ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Trần Hung managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dong Xoai's supporters rose to their feet, but Trần Hung was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fery Tarigan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Trần Hung sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nguyễn Phuong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonard Haryanto in the 76th minute of play. Nguyễn Phuong showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Djati Simanungkalit in the 77th minute of the match. Dương Dong hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. PSP Kasurai had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
