Jimeno Gonsalve made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Villa in the 15th minute of play. Tomás Cordarin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Lautaro Navarro made a huge save. 22 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Huracán's Tomás Cordarin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lautaro Navarro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 23 minutes had been played when some careless play by Honduras's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alfredo Soter was slow to take the kick. During this time Club Atlético Huracán's players had a chance to rest. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás Cordarin in the 28th minute of play. In the 29th minute Edmundo Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jimeno Gonsalve saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Edmundo Espiga made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Luca Espinar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 54th minute of the game Valentín Carvallo made a throw-in which Christian Sancho played forward. Urbano Ereinotz kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Honduras's Edmundo Espiga couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 56th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Club Atlético Huracán. Tomás Cordarin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Valentín Carvallo kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. A sloppy throw-in by Javier Garoa in the 85th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Honduras's Ivan Navarro. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
