An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 16th minute of play forced Torreoncito's goalkeeper Qi Guo Yue to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Qi Guo Yue took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Qi Guo Yue saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abelado Masson got free with Dante Lacasa in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Mexico booed when Torreoncito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rufino Narea didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute Lucas Bünzli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Qi Guo Yue came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Alberto Tafalla. But to his dismay, Alberto Tafalla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 36th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Qi Guo Yue saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 36 minutes into the game, Alberto Tafalla cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Qi Guo Yue was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 44th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lautaro Mancebo to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Luca Rouco hit a great ball. After the first half Mexico were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Gaona was the one to do the kick off. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Bünzli in the 50th minute of play. 55 minutes into the match, Elodio Faine notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Mexico's Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Torreoncito made a substitution. Pedro Olguín replaced Lucas Bünzli. Felix Luque hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. 64 minutes into the match, Torreoncito's goalkeeper Qi Guo Yue had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Olguín in the 69th minute of the match. 72 minutes into the game, Alberto Tafalla recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Qi Guo Yue. Alberto Tafalla showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Qi Guo Yue made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 78th minute of play. Qi Guo Yue was out of position in the 80 minute of play, and Joel Gaona capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Joel Gaona really showed his touch with that goal: 2-4. 83 minutes into the match, Torreoncito's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Qi Guo Yue reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 85 minutes into the game, Pedro Olguín cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-4. Dante Lacasa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremías Basabilvaso, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elodio Faine in the 92nd minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 95th minute, Pedro Olguín got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Mexico had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
