An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Montenegro in the 11th minute of play forced A.A FÊNIX's goalkeeper Silvano Lohitzun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Luis Andino notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of A.A FÊNIX's Silvano Lohitzun. Silvano Lohitzun was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luis Andino scored 0-3 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Silvano Lohitzun, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Amancio Castulo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Silvano Lohitzun. A.A FÊNIX's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Humberto Haimar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Silvano Lohitzun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 35th minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of A.A FÊNIX's Silvano Lohitzun. Silvano Lohitzun was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Silvano Lohitzun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 40th minute of play. In the 45thth minute of the game Humberto Haimar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

In the 56th minute, Daniel Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Silvano Lohitzun. A.A FÊNIX's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-7. When A.A FÊNIX's Amancio Castulo in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Felix Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvano Lohitzun having to interfere. In the 74thth minute of the game Mario Marquez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mario Marquez's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. A collision led to A.A FÊNIX getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Bernardo Lehoi hit a great ball. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Silvano Lohitzun made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amancio Castulo in the 87th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Silvano Lohitzun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 92nd minute of play. Daniel Zorita hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match.
