Mateo Jago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 11th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the match, Del Acuerdo's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Mateo Jago reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 14 minutes Del Acuerdo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 17th minute after Del Acuerdo's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. In the 18th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mateo Jago saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Del Acuerdo's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Montenegro came free, but Mateo Jago reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Teofil Narbut was extremely unlucky when he, in the 23rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Sebastian Daunte's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sebastian Daunte helped the player get up and apologised. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Mateo Jago didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mateo Jago read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Teofil Narbut could shoot a difficult shot in the 36th minute, which Julio Vera however easily saved by the left post. 38 minutes into the game, Teofil Narbut recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Julio Vera. Teofil Narbut showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 41 minutes into the match, Teofil Narbut dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Julio Vera, 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teofil Narbut to make the kick off. Perry Bollaert kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mateo Jago made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 53rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Daniel Zorita slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mateo Jago. That made the score 2-1 after 59 minutes of play. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Mateo Jago made a huge save. Mateo Jago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 75th minute of the match. If Juan Sebastián Puig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Del Acuerdo made a substitution. Jesus Baraquiel replaced Sebastian Daunte. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Cristian Sancho slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mateo Jago. That made the score 2-3 after 85 minutes of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Celso Rumaldo in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 89th minute of play forced Del Acuerdo's goalkeeper Mateo Jago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jesus Baraquiel kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Del Acuerdo.
