In the 10th minute, Tomas Berganza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Victorino Olayo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Luis Honrio hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. 14 minutes into the match, Tiburones's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Victorino Olayo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 16 minutes into the game, Abraham Alguacil cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Victorino Olayo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Victorino Olayo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 22nd minute of play. Victorino Olayo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Berganza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Isidoro Sarmiento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Victorino Olayo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th minute, Isidoro Sarmiento got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luis Azubeli hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Marcos Cotilla was out of position in the 45 minute of play, and Amado Domenec capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Amado Domenec really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 55th minute Amado Domenec shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tiburones's goalkeeper Victorino Olayo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Panama's Tomas Berganza got a free kick in the 59th minute. Dylan Sarmiento kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. In the 70th minute, Isidoro Sarmiento left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Panama fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Amado Domenec scored 2-3 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcos Cotilla, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 80 minutes into the game, Manuel Bero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tiburones's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Panama the free kick. Isidoro Sarmiento struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Victorino Olayo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Panama. The Tiburones fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Panama were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
