Spectators: 52 (Terracing: 39, Seating: 12, VIP seats: 1) After 6 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Abel Carballo. 7 minutes into the game, Joep Ponk recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Benito Sanz. Joep Ponk showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Manolo Bartumeu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Joep Ponk tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 25thth minute of the game Joep Ponk who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manolo Bartumeu in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. In the 29thth minute of the game Joep Ponk who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 31st minute, Ditlev Delmont got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 34 minutes into the game, Juan Rubio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ágætis Byrjun the free kick. In the 34th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Rubio to maneuver through the defense. Benito Sanz was out of position in the 35 minute of play, and Joep Ponk capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Joep Ponk really showed his touch with that goal: 5-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Manolo Bartumeu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Benito Sanz. That made the score 6-0 in the 38 minute of play. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Ágætis Byrjun's Nick Heesen. But to his dismay, Nick Heesen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nick Heesen in the 44th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joep Ponk. Costa Rica's defense didn't have a chance, in the 47th minute, when Joep Ponk scored to the left of an out of position Benito Sanz, making the score, 8-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 8-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joep Ponk made a kick off. In the 54th minute, Nick Heesen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 9-0. When the match clock showed 58 minutes, the score became 10-0 when Joep Ponk sped through Costa Rica's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. 62 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Manolo Bartumeu came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alejandro dos Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Joep Ponk's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joep Ponk in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. If Nick Heesen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ágætis Byrjun made a substitution. Ernst Melis replaced Vitaliy Vorobey. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Hugo Ferrant hit a great ball. In the 73rd minute, Nick Heesen made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 11-0. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nick Heesen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 81 minutes into the game, one of Costa Rica:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 82nd minute there was a penalty for Ágætis Byrjun. Nick Heesen stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Benito Sanz. 12-0. 88 minutes into the game, Lautaro Puig was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ágætis Byrjun the free kick. Ditlev Delmont sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 90th minute, Nick Heesen made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 14-0. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Ágætis Byrjun's Nick Heesen. But to his dismay, Nick Heesen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 15-0. Nick Heesen took the ball and in the 97 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 16-0. Ágætis Byrjun walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
