Ramon Gómez didn't get a good kick on the ball. 7 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Norte's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Seco came free, but Fernando Prassov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 11 minutes, Francisco Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uruguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco Seco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Esteban Gonchan's late challenge caught a Uruguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Esteban Gonchan helped the player get up and apologised. Esteban Gonchan hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Jaime Cazalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Fernando Prassov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benedicto Savier might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joaquin Gayoso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benedicto Savier ran back to his position shaking his head. Francisco Seco kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benedicto Savier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francisco Seco in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fernando Prassov saved Club Deportivo Norte from getting behind. Fernando Prassov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Francisco Seco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Prassov having to interfere. In the 40th minute, Mete Gambetta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joaquin Gayoso was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Mete Gambetta put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The wind increased when Francisco Seco made the kick off in the second half. Fernando Prassov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 51st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benedicto Savier in the 55th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Francisco Seco in the 61stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fernando Prassov, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a defensive mix-up in Club Deportivo Norte's zone, Francisco Seco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando Prassov came out of the goal and Francisco Seco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Ramon Gómez put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's Francisco Seco managed to work through Club Deportivo Norte's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Francisco Seco dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Francisco Seco's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 91stth minute, Fernando Prassov skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mete Gambetta during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 96th minute Maximiliano Escribano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Prassov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
