An unexpectedly hard shot by Valer Boteanu in the 13th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 15th minute of play forced GONDWONALAND's goalkeeper Grigoriy Avrutov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 18 minutes into the match, GONDWONALAND's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Grigoriy Avrutov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Léo Pereira in the 22nd minute of the match. GONDWONALAND's Grigoriy Avrutov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luca Zorita in the 24th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fidencio Santander. 28 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when GONDWONALAND's Fidencio Santander fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Carlos Sosa tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Léo Pereira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dante Lacasa. That made the score 1-0 in the 39 minute of play. Grigoriy Avrutov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. In the 47th minute, Valer Boteanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Valer Boteanu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Grigoriy Avrutov was left in no man's land by his defense there! Léo Pereira struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Dante Lacasa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GONDWONALAND. Bruno Chayo hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valer Boteanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In the 62nd minute GONDWONALAND were awarded a corner. Valer Boteanu went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Fidencio Santander almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa did a great save. Fidencio Santander kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Mancebo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Grigoriy Avrutov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
