Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. Inocencio Dominguez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Melquiades Ado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Melquiades Ado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 9th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inocencio Dominguez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Inocencio Dominguez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 10th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Inocencio Dominguez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 11 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Daniel Zorita sped through Coquena FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Inocencio Dominguez. Inocencio Dominguez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Inocencio Dominguez came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Felix Montenegro. But to his dismay, Felix Montenegro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Atilano Haimar in the 17th minute. Melquiades Ado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. 23 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Melquiades Ado. The crowd rose to their feet as Coquena FC's Melquiades Ado slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Julio Vera. That made the score 1-3 after 23 minutes of play. Coquena FC's Inocencio Dominguez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 30th minute of play. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Atilano Haimar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Coquena FC booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Arias didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Mercurio Matta came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Coquena FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mercurio Matta couldn't finish the play. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Atilano Haimar in the 39th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mercurio Matta to strike the kick off in the second half. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Inocencio Dominguez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 57 minutes into the match, Coquena FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Inocencio Dominguez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inocencio Dominguez having to interfere. Coquena FC's Inocencio Dominguez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Coquena FC from getting a goal against them. 70 minutes into the match, Coquena FC's goalkeeper Inocencio Dominguez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mercurio Matta in the 72nd minute of play. Inocencio Dominguez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Zorita's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Cristian Sancho's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Inocencio Dominguez firmly grabbed it by the left post. After a rather tough play, Coquena FC's Carsten Hoby got a free kick in the 85th minute. Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig pulled a muscle in his leg after 87 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 87 minutes, Melquiades Ado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Coquena FC and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Coquena FC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Melquiades Ado hit a great ball. In the 90th match minute, Coquena FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafal Jarosiewicz to maneuver through the defense. Cristian Sancho hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. When Atilano Haimar fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Coquena FC's protests and gave Atilano Haimar a yellow card for diving instead. In the 96th minute, Atilano Haimar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
