Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Uruguay from getting a goal against them. Victoriano Dunixi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 18th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jorge Sainz during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Uruguay were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after Rio de la Plata 91218 3-1's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jaime Cazalla took the corner. The corner led Uruguay's Jaime Cazalla to fire away a dangerous shot which Victoriano Dunixi despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Joaquin Gayoso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Francisco Seco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Francisco Seco's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 53rdth minute, Victoriano Dunixi skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Jaime Cazalla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 56th minute, Kevin Carballal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Javier Ferreyra, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Javier Ferreyra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Joaquin Gayoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Quiroga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 68th match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Gisbert to maneuver through the defense. After 73 minutes of play, Rio de la Plata 91218 3-1's Javier Ferreyra made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joaquin Gayoso was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Rio de la Plata 91218 3-1 getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Angelo Lordi hit a great ball. Jaime Cazalla blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Victoriano Dunixi having to make a save. When Andres Lluciano came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Rio de la Plata 91218 3-1 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andres Lluciano couldn't finish the play. With his leg Victoriano Dunixi managed to avoid a goal in the 89thth minute, when Uruguay's Francisco Seco fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Rio de la Plata 91218 3-1's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
