Şaban Okdağ showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Villa, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Şaban Okdağ didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Moises Tafalla went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Luca Espinar kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Lautaro Navarro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Filipp Topnikov went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 39th minute, Moises Tafalla made a precise shot to the right of Şaban Okdağ. A V A Z A's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. When the match clock showed 47 minutes, the score became 1-4 when Edmundo Espiga sped through A V A Z A's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Şaban Okdağ. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edmundo Espiga to strike the kick off in the second half. Şaban Okdağ showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 55th minute of the match. A V A Z A's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Edmundo Espiga ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Honduras's Edmundo Espiga to fire away a dangerous shot which Şaban Okdağ despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The supporters of Honduras booed when A V A Z A was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filipp Topnikov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Honduras's Edmundo Espiga was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 76th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 82nd minute Jondo Pawletko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Şaban Okdağ came out of the goal and Christian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 95th minute Edmundo Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Şaban Okdağ saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
