After a rather tough play, Warsaw Coyotes's Tanek Kapelski got a free kick in the 31st minute. 35 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bogdan Juchno. Zdzislaw Pryputnicki hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. El Salvador's Luis Rubio quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Iwo Ogrodowicz, made in the 40th minute of the game. Ricardo Zorita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bogdan Juchno in the 44th minute of play. After some careless play in the Warsaw Coyotes defense, Eliseo Carballo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kajetan Lampe. The Warsaw Coyotes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kajetan Lampe should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bogdan Juchno was the one to do the kick off. Abram Luque fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kajetan Lampe having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Tanek Kapelski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bogdan Juchno in the 86th minute of play forced El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Warsaw Coyotes lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
